Take 500 gm boneless chicken cut into cubes
Take For Marination
Get 4 tbsp yoghurt

Take 1/2 cup cream
Take to taste Salt
Get 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
Prepare 1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
Make ready 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
Take 1.5 tbsp coriander powder
Make ready 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Prepare 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Get 1 small capsicum cubed
Take 1 tomato deseeded and cubed
Get Water as required
Take 3 tbsp oil
Take 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Steps to make Chicken Tikka Masala:
In a bowl, mix all ingredients mentioned under Marination section. Add chicken and marinate well
Cover and keep it aside for 1 hour
Insert chicken into skewers. Grease grill pan and grill chicken on all sides. It should be well browned. Keep the cooked tikka aside
Soak cashews in warm water for 30 minutes. Discard the water
Grind cashews and tomatoes to form smooth puree
Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and splutter cumin seeds
Add onions and saute until Brown
Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw aroma goes away
Add all spice powders except garam masala to the pan and mix well
Add salt and puree. Saute until oil starts leaving the sides
Cut chicken tikka in smaller pieces. Add tikka to the pan and mix well
Add water and bring to boil
Add cubed onions and cook for 4 minutes
Add cubed capsicum and tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes
Add coriander leaves, lemon juice, garam masala and cream. Mix well. Cook for few seconds. Switch off
Serve hot with roti or naan
